Welcome to my academic page!

I am a post-doctoral researcher in the Computational Rheology Laboratory at the Institute of Polymers and Composites and an invited professor at the Department of Polymer Engineering of the University of Minho (in the beautiful and historical city of Guimarães, Portugal). I am a passionate scientist with a strong interest in computational mechanics, applied mathematics, numerical analysis, and scientific computing for engineering applications.

The research I have been conducting mainly concerns the development of novel methods and algorithms for highly accurate, reliable, and efficient numerical simulations in high-performance computing platforms, as well as their application in the fields of computational fluid dynamics and computational rheology for materials processing and manufacturing technologies.
